Score music
For our five minute documentary we used a non-diegetic soundtrack from the album ‘Human Documentaries’. We choose this particular soundtrack ‘Industrious’ because it creates a certain atmosphere about student behaviour declining. The sound used has and interesting elements as it is fast and up beating, from this the key instrument used is a keyboard as it keeps the music in pace.
Interestingly whilst soundtrack is play the voiceover also helps direct the narrative of the documentary. This shows that both types of sounds show a similar balance as it equal. In this case the soundtrack shows a lot of emotions as it draws the audience towards the documentary and engages them constantly.
Throughout the five minute documentary other sound elements have been used such as ambient and diegetic sound. The reason for this is because is captures the moment of students and there surrounding around them.
Originally we planned to use different types of sound and music for our documentary, this because we feels it helps break down certain issues raised and also helps focus on the key topic of student behaviour declining.
